My friend is getting married in a few months. So, we are on a mission to find the best beautician available in Kerala, preferably central region. Ladies who have worked with or who personally know a few really talented beauticians in Kerala, kindly suggest. A few of my other friends who are married have had horrible experience picking up some random beauticians.
I have been following your blog for the past few months and I must say you have a great style and a beautiful skin! I need some advice regarding skin care and I hope this is the right place to ask you. I live in the US and have dry and sensitive skin. I have not been able to find a good facial cleanser that works for my Indian skin tone. Will you be able to suggest a few products that could work for my skin type? A facial cleanser and a face mask (to help with the glow) to start with? I really appreciate your response.
There’s no denying that Sonam Kapoor is the most talked about fashion diva in our country. Her every appearance gets talked about much more than her acting prowess and/or her films. It shows that there goes a great deal of thinking into Sonam Kapoor’s appearances and I have seen some real good pieces of accessories on her – and some great pieces of statement jewellery, statement necklaces to name a few. Today, I will be compiling a list of some of the best of Sonam Kapoor’s statement necklaces that she has worn, not in films, but in real life. Check these out.
Here’s Sonam Kapoor looking elegant in a statement uncut stone necklace during the Delhi Couture Week 2012. She has not worn any earrings along with the piece.
Sonam Kapoor wearing a pretty statement necklace during the press conference for IIJW 2013. Note that she has not worn any earrings with this necklace.
She looks pretty as a picture in this golden trendy neck piece. Again, she has gone “earrings free” in this look.
One of her pieces from ramp walk. She has paired it with stud earrings and maang tika.
Sonam Kapoor wearing the quirky but stylish fish necklace during a charity event during IIFA Awards.
Another awesome statement necklace from one of Sonam Kapoor’s best looks till date, at the 2009 IIFA Awards.
Sonam Kapoor was the center of everyone’s attention when she came on the sets of “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” teaming a bold statement necklace with a gold-based Anamika Khanna outfit.
She walked the ramp in this red and off white outfit and paired it with uncut diamond and pearl jewellery.
“Queen of the Night” collar necklace by French Jeweler Boucheron at the Grand Finale of the India International Jewelry Week 2011 on Thursday, August 4. Looks like this piece not everyone can wear it, but Sonam Kapoor can
With the Dolce and Gabbana ball gown that she had worn at Cannes 2013, she did not wear any other jewellery piece except a simple yet pretty neck piece.
Check out how she has worn a very ethnic necklace with a western outfit without anything sticking out like a sore thumb.
We say yay to Sonam Kapoor in green and for the necklace.
Another Western outfit-Indian Jewellery “collabration” and it worked and how!
My favourite statement necklace out of all, she looks so pretty in this one.
So, which one was your favourite piece amongst Sonam Kapoor’s statement necklace collection, if I have missed your favourite look of Sonam Kapoor’s, please do mention in the comments
I want to know how to lighten/vanish dark circles. I’m so obsessed with them that I’ve tried almost everything (aroma’s gel, potato’s juice, spoon technique, vitamin E oil, almond oil, coconut oil, much more) but still didn’t got desired results. I’m 21, having fast food frequently, drink 4-5 glasses of water, sleep for 7-8 hours per day and having fair complexion. that’s why they’re highlighted :( Please suggest something.
I’m super excited to finally start writing here! Yay-iee!! So, after 3 years of silently stalking all the posts, I decided to contribute (finally!). I chanced upon this little beauty while on the lookout for “mera-wala” compact powder at a Lifestyle store, along with a nagging “someone special” when a SA swooped down on me and dragged me to the Revlon counter. And by the virtue of her convincing prowess and my boyfriend’s “buy it! buy it!” rant this baby found a new home
My Experience with Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation:
So! I review this product after it hits the pan and I apologize, but I bought this way back in November!! Shame on me for not sharing it with you all then. So, what’s a Two Way Powder? A compact makeup solution doubling up as foundation (when used wet), compact/pressed powder and for light concealing. That’s how the SA got me, too. And yes, it fares on all the claims as well. No claims mentioned as such, I would drink up all that the SA promised. And boy, did the promise fare. I bought this in the shade “Medium Beige” after many hassles and went home to try it on the very next day.
The texture is oh-so-soft, not powdery, nil fall-out, no flying of powder particles, proper coverage, no cakey feel/look, easy blendability, compact storage, a good sponge applicator, breathable/airy sponge compartment. What else could I ask for, ladies? The staying power is decent (me being oily-skinned with pores). Though dry-skinned beauties could keep a check on the amount. Slightly conceals pores (I have many) and conceals under eye area well for me. For heavy concealing, I am sorry. I use this with my Bourjois Kabuki Brush and I am good to go.
Pros of Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation:
Easy blendability.
Decent staying power.
Does not give a cakey feel/look on layering.
Lightly conceals pores and under eye area.
Doubles up as foundation too (use sponge wet).
Good quality sponge applicator.
A huge mirror apt for touch-ups.
No fragrance.
Titanium dioxide in makeup’s good (especially for sensitive skin or rosacea affected like mine and is a sunscreen agent). Thus, it has SPF 19.
Cons of Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation:
A bit expensive (but considering how long it will last, not much of a con either).
Complete ingredient list missing.
Would I Repurchase Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation?
Yes! Oily-skinned problematic skin – go get it! Dry skinned lass out there? Go easy on the application.
We have to admit, most of us would like to get those gorgeous tresses that most Bollywood actresses have. While hair shown in most shampoo and conditioner ads seem a bit unrealistic, our Bollywood actresses seem to have really gorgeous hair (though I suspect that regularly wear hair extensions). Let’s find out who has the most gorgeous hair in Bollywood.
1. Shilpa Shetty: It would be completely wrong if I don’t start the list by mentioning Shilpa Shetty. Not only she has a superb well toned frame, she has healthy, long and thick hair. She has kept it short and long at various times,
but we love it when she wears long hair.
2. Kareena Kapoor: This pretty diva has straight, shiny hair that she has never cut short. I love her poker straight hair.
3. Deepika Padukone: Deepika is right now trending everywhere because of “Chennai Express” and she is an actress who rocks wavy, straight, and all other hairstyles.
4. Katrina Kaif: The actress sports poker straight hair in almost her every appearance, and we all love her straight hair, don’t we?
5. Amisha Patel: Though not visible on the Bollywood horizon anymore, she still has the most gorgeous and desirable hair, never mind she went blonde once and scared us, but now that she is sporting her light brown hair, she deserves to be in this list.
6. Sonakshi Sinha: Riding high on the success of many blockbuster films, it is hard to tell whether she wears extensions, but think we should give her the benefit of doubt. Check her hair out.
7. Aishwarya Rai: No list is complete without mentioning Aishwarya Rai. Blessed with chiseled features, her hair is one of her best features.
8. Priyanka Chopra: Have you checked out her new song “Exotic” with Pitbull. Though not a great fan of her music, I think she good, thick hair.
If you think I have missed other Bollywood beauties with gorgeous hair, please feel free to add them in the comments
We girls want our life to be perfect, but we all know that it cannot be, but we can surely make our life near to perfect. There are so many things in our life from where we can start i.e. relationships, professional surroundings, our clothes, negotiation skills, make up, cooking, gardening etc.
You know always keep this in mind that we can do everything though not on 100% level, but we can do some things on a perfection stage. So here I am, I will give you some beauty tips and fashion tips which will groom you and give a new life. Some tips will be of great value if you keep this in mind that you are beautiful!!
I am only here to make you super beautiful. I invented this word for you beauties.
Some random tips are:
To make your hair more shiny and beautiful, apply sunflower oil of any edible oil you are using for cooking. This oil should not be used for massage. In fact this should be used as a serum.
If your hair is too oily and you have an urgent meeting or party and you don’t have time to wash your hair, try this. Take a bit of talcum powder in your hands and rub it. Then, apply in your hair like you are applying serum. Make sure your hair is wet.
If your nails are brittle and lost their shine due to excessive use of nail polish, then try Boroline. Apply a bit of it on every nail and massage gently in night. Your nails will get their shine back and they will become stronger.
If your eye lashes are lightweight or you have less hair on your eyebrows, then apply coconut oil or olive oil. For application, take a small drop of oil on your fingers and apply on your eyelashes as well as on your eyebrows. You will see the results within three months.
To make your hands soft, apply malai (milk cream) in the night as a hand cream. This not only makes them soft, but also makes them shiny.
To reduce blackness of elbows and ankles, try lemon. Applying lemon rinds on elbows and ankles make them soft as well as removes tan.
If you have a round face, make sure you wear danglers or long earrings. It not only enhances your facial beauty but gives you a mature look.
So, that;s it for now, will get back very soon to you with more beauty tips, till then, take care

Today’s post is about a skin brightening facial that can be easily followed at home. I concocted this brightening facial during the summers, it can easily be altered to suit our skin’s needs during the winter months as well. I have combination to oily skin type which is acne prone. My skin is very easily prone to dullness, blemishes and acne scars. Every zit leaves a black spot which takes ages to fade, especially my T-zone is laden with black and brown marks. I have always been dependent on face masks and scrubs, home made and ready to use ones to even out my skin tone. I am quite fond of applying face masks and scrubs, though many find it messy and prefer to go to a parlor. But I have always stayed away from salon clean ups, facials and skin treatments on the suggestion of my dermatologist because my skin is usually oily and prone to acne, but attending important family functions would compel me to go in for
at least a clean up because, as I mentioned, my skin is very dull with blackheads and whiteheads. So finally, I gave in to the temptation and got a clean up from one of the reputed salons in Bangalore. I had a nice experience, my face looked brighter and glowing, got compliments too. Honestly, I was tempted to go for it regularly, but used to get it done only during occasions.
Last November, I went in for a pearl clean up before our house warming ceremony, a week after that, I experienced a lot of sensitivity and had developed light brown patches on my cheeks and forehead. Had to run to the dermatologist who banned any more salon visits and other cosmetics including a sunblock. She applied a serum and for the next three days I was advised not to apply anything to my face, not even a face wash, had to wash my face with plain water.
After this experience, all I used was a face wash for sensitive skin, sunblock because it is inevitable and ocassionally a compact for whenever my skin would get too oily. Even application of home made packs or even something as cooling as yoghurt would cause a burning sensation. Due to this, I had totally given up on everything and my skin just got dull by the day. I had newer pimple marks and blemishes all over my face. But I was unable to use any of my favourite face masks and scrubs were out of the question. For three months, I gave my skin a break from all products and even home remedies due to skin sensitivity.
Once I felt that my skin was getting better, I thought I should give this a shot and went ahead with this experiment. So, let’s see how this worked for me.
As with any other facial, this too has six steps: Cleansing, steam, scrubbing, massage, face mask and toning. The main ingredient here is tomato. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C which helps in skin brightening. High content of lycopene makes tomatoes a natural sunscreen. In addition, tomatoes also contain high antioxidant and astringent substances which are very good for maintaining your skin’s health and for protection against sunburn and skin ageing caused due to sun exposure.
Procedure – Step By Step:
I would also mention variations for very oily and dry skin.
1. Cleanser:
1/2 tspTomato juice.
1 tsp Milk cream.
1/2 tsp Honey.
Mix all the three ingredients well, apply it all over your face and massage in a circular motion for 2 minutes. Leave it on for another minute and wipe it off with a cotton pad.
Variation:
Dry skin: Substitute honey with ghee/butter (preferably unsalted) since it is moisturising and softening for dry skin.
Oily Skin: Substitute milk cream with yoghurt. You can add a few drops of lemon juice, which helps to dissolve excess oil.
2. Steam:
Usually, steam is taken after scrubbing, but I prefer to steam before as it softens the skin and makes exfoliation more effective and less
abrasive.
1. Steamer
2. Water
3. Rose essential oil
4. Towel
Add 3 drops of essential oil to the water and steam your face for 5 minutes.
Variation:
Dry Skin: You can use Lavender essential oil as it has skin balancing properties and is the safest essential oil.
Oily Skin: Tea tree essential oil can be used instead of rose essential oil. Tea tree has anti-bacterial properties that reduces oil production and prevents acne.
3. Scrub:
1 tsp Tomato juice.
1/2 tsp Rice flour.
1/2 tsp sooji (semolina).
1/2 tsp milk/milk powder.
Rose water (optional).
Add all the ingredients in a bowl except sooji, mix well and add sooji jus
before scrubbing. Scrub gently in a circular motion for 2 minutes, leave it on for 5 minutes and scrub again. You can spray some rose water if the scrub dries up when you leave on.
Variation:
Dry Skin: Add oats instead of sooji, since it is softening and moisturising yet it is an effective scrub, specially for dry skin.
Oily Skin: Add a pinch of sodium bicarb (baking soda) to the scrub. Sodium bicarb is a strong exfoliant, which reduces oil secretion and tightens open pores, preventing skin eruptions, whiteheads and blackheads.
4. Massage Cream:
1 tsp Tomato juice.
1/2 tsp Carrot juice.
1/2 tsp yoghurt.
3-5 strands Kesar (saffron).
1 Vitamin E capsule.
Soak kesar strands in yoghurt for 2 hours. Slit the vitamin E capsule and add it to the yoghurt. Mix all the other ingredients together and whip it into a smooth paste. Massage the paste in a circular motion gently, all over your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, massage again and wash off with warm water.
Variation:
Dry Skin: Add a few drops of almond oil since it is easily absorbed by the skin. It is moisturising and nourishing, very ideal for dry skin.
It keeps the skin firm, thus fighting off wrinkles.
Oily Skin: Replace vitamin E capsule with 2 drops of almond oil and 1/2 tsp of Sandalwood powder/paste. Almond oil contains vitamin E that helps lightening skin blemishes. Sandalwood is very cooling and soothing to oily skin. It also helps to control oil by tightening pores.
5. Face Mask:
1 tsp Tomato juice.
1/2 tsp Multani mitti.
1/4 tsp Kasturi manjal.
1/2 tsp Cucumber juice.
1/2 tsp Orange peel powder.
Mix all of them together, add more tomato juice if the mask becomes too thick. Apply a thick layer on your face, massage lightly and leave it on till it dries completely. It should take around 15 minutes to dry.
Variation:
Dry Skin: Replace multani mitti with milk powder, as it is moisturising and also acts as a base for the face mask. It contains lactic acid which gently sloughs off dead skin making it soft and supple.
Oily Skin: Add aloe vera gel to the mask. Aloe vera gel has a cooling effect on oily skin, it prevents acne and inflammation. It has hydrating as well as astringent properties.
6. Toner:
1 tsp Tomato juice.
1 tsp Rose water.
1 tsp Green tea.
Mix all the three together, pour it into an ice tray and freeze it. Rub the ice cube in a circular motion all over your face, to close open pores. Let it dry naturally, wash off with cool water and pat dry.
Variation:
Dry Skin: Replace rose water with raw milk. Raw milk moistens and conditions dry skin and accelerates cell renewal.
Oily Skin: Add two drops of tea tree essential oil to the toner. This helps in refining enlarged pores, maintaining the oil, water balance of the skin.
Finally, moisturize your skin with a suitable moisturiser after the facial.
Result:
I have been following this routine from the past 3 months. I do this facial twice a month and believe me, this has made a huge difference. My skin is brighter, smoother and happier. Basically, it feels more alive and rejuvenated, but, don’t expect immediate results. The first time I did the facial I did not notice any significant improvement except that my skin felt very silky. I was disappointed and decided to discontinue it, but the next morning my face had a subtle glow and a well-rested look, this prompted me to give it another shot. With every session, I noticed my skin got better, that’s when I realized it’s a keeper and I must share it with everyone. The advantages are that it is cost effective, free of chemicals, extremely nourishing and skin friendly. But the drawbacks are that there is no overnight improvement, you won’t feel pampered or relaxed like in a spa, in fact, it is hard work and the biggest factor is it is very time consuming. To save time, I usually extract the tomato juice and prepare the cleanser, mask and toner the night before and refrigerate it.
Somehow, I have managed to find time for this and hope you guys too can. Do try it! It’s quite a colourful facial.
I know it’s a very long post, but I did not want to miss out on anything.
The wedding season is on! From Indian Bridal Week to Indian Jewellery Week, everyone’s talking about wedding and marriages this season. The bridal grooming session begins months before the D-day and with multiple rounds of trials, the bride selects her dresses, makeup, and hairstyle. It is important that the would-be bride opt for hairstyles that would enhance her features and make her the center of all attention. I have seen many brides whose looks got completely ruined because of their not-so-good hairstyle, therefore it is important that you pick the hairstyle that would suit you the best, days before the wedding. Also, its important that your hair is in good condition for the D-day, intake food rich in protein, eat healthy, go for regular oil massages and hair spa, and if you are experimenting with a new haircut, do it at least a month before or wait until your wedding is over. Also, as far as it is possible, don’t experiment with new hair care products because there is a risk of hair fall. Experimenting with hair color is a big no-no. Here’s a post you can check out that will help you in choosing a hairstyle according to the shape of your face. You obviously would not want to sulk all the days leading up to the wedding about a bad haircut. Here’s a DIY hair spa that I digged out from IMBB for you. Somreeta details out easy hair care tips for brides-to-be here. Hair accessories and statement hair jewellery jazzes up even the simplest of hairstyles, go for it!
I have collected 30 of the most trendy bridal hairstyles that you can opt for – not restricted to Indian style wedding – since our brides today are willing to experiment – its not appropriate to restrict hairstyles to puffy high buns only for Indian brides.
Most of us are in awe of our movie stars – they seem to have an absolutely glamorous life and lifestyle, but our bollywood divas don’t lead an easy life, they have to work really hard to look stylish, well groomed, and fashionable all the time, and it takes a lot of dedication to look perfect. We expect them to look perfect every day, must be hard on them to look flawless each time they step out. Our bollywood heroines’ greatest nightmare probably might be to get clicked without makeup, some of them really don’t mind so much, but some cover up their face with hair, hands, and handbags to avoid the flashes of shutterbugs. In reel life, these actresses have layers of greasepaint on and the strong arc lights show them differently than what they are in real life, that might be the reason they shy away from cameras when they do not have their foundation or lip color on. Kareena Kapoor most of the time steps out without makeup and is least bothered about that imperative strong flush of colour on her cheeks that she usually wears for her brand and film related appearances. Let’s look at some of the Bollywood actresses who dared to go bare (I mean makeup wise).
1. Katrina Kaif: I must admit Katrina Kaif looks the prettiest without makeup. I guess all of you must have seen her pics in bikini during her Spain sojourn with beau Ranbir Kapoor, she looked awesome, agree?
2. Deepika Padukone: Flavour of the current season, Deepika is riding high on the success of Chennai Express. Check out Deepika without a dot of makeup in this pic here.
3. Shilpa Shetty: Shilpa Shetty often covers her face with her hair or handbag when she is without makeup. Here she was clicked on her way out of airport.
4. Genelia D’Souza: A cute and bubbly actress, she is all smiles for the shutterbugs.
5. Rekha and Vidya: Two actresses from down South who have carved out a niche for themselves in bollywood, both of them got clicked together and without much makeup I guess.
6. Sonam Kapoor: Its hard to find a picture of Sonam Kapoor where she is without makeup or not in her usual fashion diva mode, but found one pic, here it is.
7. Sonakshi Sinha: She looks pretty with or without makeup, check her out here.
8. Rani Mukherjee: Dark circles, unkempt hair, doesn’t matter, still one of cine goers favourite, Rani Mukherjee, never mind an Aiyaa disaster in between (ugggh that movie was atrocious).
9. Priyanka Chopra: You have got to give this to the lady of oomph – she is all around the town with her new single “Exotic” with pitbull, it has raised many a eyebrows, but then, she is going International, wish her luck!
10. Kareena Kapoor: She is one actress who doesn’t really mind getting clicked without makeup.
11. Bipasha Basu: This dusky beauty has a superb body, she looks just as good without makeup.
12. Kajal Agarwal: That’s the Singham star during one of her appearances for film promotion.
13. Alia Bhatt: Student of the Year fame Alia Bhatt, don’t think she is completely makeup-less, it looks like natural makeup though.
14. Anushka Sharma: Like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma does not look like she is completely makeup less, but natural nevertheless.
15. Kangana Ranaut: In the news for Krissh 3 and lip job, she tried hard to stop the cameras from clicking her, seems like it didn’t work
16. Priyamani: Chennai Express item number queen Priyamani is all smiles during her movie promotion.
17. Kajol: The still much sought after actress clicked without much makeup here.
18. Madhuri Dixit: Yesteryear heroine who is so graceful, hats off to her
19. Karishma Kapoor: Mother of two, with a fit body, but without makeup, she looks a bit haggard.
20. Last but definitely not the least, the pretty Aishwarya Rai, she still rocks.
I am a silent reader of your blog from last year. Found it really helpful. What you guys are doing is really amazing.
Its first time I thought to actually ask your help directly. There’s a wedding occasion of my relative and I am planning to shop in Mumbai for that, but I am new to Mumbai city. So, please tell me where to find good clothing and jewelry for wedding occasions in Mumbai, latest collection with reasonable prices. I am going to Mumbai for a few days, staying in Thane. Nearby places will of great help. Thanks in advance

Mita
P.S. Pls mention or spell my name as Mita in your blog not as per my email id.
I am in love with rosemary after using rosemary leave-in conditioner, so this post is all about rosemary. This powerful herb has been used as a hair treatment since ancient times. Today, there are many expensive hair treatment products available in market which contains Rosemary, but I am going to share my simple recipe of leave-in rosemary conditioner here.
My hair type: I have natural black wavy hair.
Story behind making this conditioner at home:
I personally don’t like to use conditioner after each hair, but as we all know conditioning is essential to keep hair healthy. Also, I was dealing with hair fall problem last year and had already tried a bunch of hair treatment products, so I finally decided to try some home remedies for my hair. This leave-in conditioner is one of them. It saved my hair and improved my hair condition.
Tip: You may want to drink rosemary tea everyday for a month and see improvement in hair growth if you are suffering from severe hair fall.
So, let’s start with the process of making rosemary leave-in conditioner:
We would need dried rosemary leaves/freshleaves/Rosemary Oil (anything which is available), 3 Cups of Water, Empty Spray Bottle.
Method:
1. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan.
2. Add dried or fresh rosemary leaves into boiling water for another 2 minutes. Now, the water would start changing its color to dark brown. Turn off the gas and let the rosemary seep for a few hours, let it cool down completely.
3. Strain the rosemary water into a spray bottle. I like to add a few drops (almost 4-5) of rosemary oil into bottle with rosemary water, but it is optional.
4. Don’t forget to shake the bottle before each use.
Benefits of Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner For Hair Growth:
Rosemary leaves/Rosemary oil is easily available.
It makes your hair soft and shiny with regular use.
Stimulates hair follicles which results in faster hair growth.
Strengthens hair.
Fights against dandruff, itchy and flaky scalp.
Homemade simple recipe.
Very inexpensive compared to other rosemary hair treatment products available in the market.
Cons of Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner For Hair Growth:
Strong smell. I like this minty smell but with all these benefits, you have to ignore the smell even if you don’t like it and the smell doesn’t last in your hair for long.
Precautions and Warnings:
Stay away from rosemary if you are pregnant or breast feeding or if you are suffering from high blood pressure. Large intake of rosemary can cause vomiting, uterine bleeding, kidney irritation, Increased sun sensitivity, skin redness and allergic reactions.
How To Use Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner:
Just spray this leave-in conditioner to your hair from roots to tip after each hair wash (2 to 3 times in a week).
I highly recommend this conditioner even if you don’t suffer from hair fall/hair loss because it improves hair condition and with each use.
Early this month, Rati and Sanjeevji gave Neha and me the opportunity to experience Kaya’s Skin Clinic’s August rush treatments. You would be happy to know that Kaya is running “August Rush” offers where they have slashed their prices down a great deal and some treatments are even available for 50%, some of them are:
1. Clean Fresh Oil Control.
2. Aqua Fairness Luxe.
3. Acne Free with Aqua Therapy packages.
4. Photo Facial Service Package.
The Kaya Beauty Assistant at the counter
From the above services, I had chosen “Aqua Fairness Luxe.” After the 50% price cut, Aqua Fairness Luxe costs Rs. 4000 for 3 sessions. Also, with the entire Aqua Fairness Luxe package, there’s a free complimentary Kaya Sunscreen Lotion which is given out, seems like a good deal, isn’t it? Also, this treatment is good for would-be brides who are going in for bridal grooming.
Treatment room
The best thing about Kaya is that an experienced dermatologist is always available to check out your skin type and prescribe the appropriate treatment. Since I had picked up Aqua Fairness Luxe, I didn’t need to see a dermatologist.
After I had fixed the appointment and reached the Kaya Clinic, I was welcomed warmly and was taken to one of their treatment rooms. The ambience was perfect to relax. I was taken through the entire procedure by a very helpful beauty assistant. She told me what she would be doing at each step and the benefits of the products she was using.
In the first step, the beauty assistant cleansed my face thoroughly with a cleanser. After that, using an aqua jet machine, compressed air consisting of saline water was used all over my face to exfoliate dead skin cells. This aqua jet is passed through a nozzle and its a really cool experience. After this step, I felt as if grime and dead cells were sloughed off. This procedure is also called as lymphatic drainage.
The next step was infusion of glycolic peel (10%) through the aqua jet machine. There was mild tingling which the beauty assistant told me was normal. Glycolic peel evens skin tone and reduces pigmentation, and gives skin a nice glow.
After the peel, she applied a post-peel neutralizing cream and wiped my face with cold water. Next, she removed blackheads. There was no steaming required in this particular facial.
The aqua jet machine with a nozzle that releases cool air, loved it
Later, she massaged for around 10 minutes with aloe vera gel and followed it up with Kaya Insta Brightening Micro Mask which is a transparent silky gel mask with botanical extracts that instantly gives brighter skin in just 20 minutes.
After wiping off the mask, she applied sunscreen all over the face.
The facial session lasted around 90 minutes. After the facial session, I felt that my skin was squeaky clean, a little bright (there are two more sessions), and felt extremely light. It felt like a super cleanup session and I feel a monthly session like this is really good for everyone of us. As as far fairness is concerned, I definitely think it makes the face bright and glowing with all that aqua jet and glycolic peel therapy, but there is no drastic change of shades, but I think once all the sessions prescribed are taken, it would show.
If you are a to-be bride, go in for this facial to get that glowing face. I think I am going to book my future sessions because this seems like a great deal
This facial treatment was sponsored by Kaya Skin Clinic, but my review as always is honest
Dear Rati, Happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Birthdayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :* :* Wish you lotsssssssss of happiness and may all your wishes come true Can’t express in words how much you mean to us and what a wonderful person you are, stay the same, WE ALL LOVE YOU :* and wish you BIRTHDAY WISHES from the bottom of our hearts :*
We have seen our actresses getting married over and over again onscreen, in different attires and in different settings. The curiosity and mystery deepens whenever a Bollywood actresses’ marriage is announced and most of us play the guessing game of what they would be wearing, which designer’s outfit they would pick up, and how many millions worth of jewellery they would be donning, and so on. Every minute detail is covered by media and the hype continues till the marriage. The last bollywood marriage was of Kareena Kapoor where it was a mix of royal and commonly practiced ceremonies. Let’s check out how our gorgeous actresses looked like on their D-day, whether they repeated their onscreen looks, and what jewellery they wore (I am not including the yesteryear actresses, let’s save it for some other day).
Esha Deol: Esha Deol got married to businessman Bharat Takthani in 2012 in an elaborate ceremony. Esha wore the traditional red and orange lehenga designed by Neeta Lulla and was decked in gold jewellery. The bride’s mother was looking great too
Genelia D’Souza: Riteish Deshmukh’s wedding to Genelia was a lavish affair spread over many days. She got married in a traditional Hindu Maharashtrian ceremony in red saree designed by Neeta Lulla and then later in the Church in a white wedding gown. Her white wedding gown was designed by Shantanu and Nikhil.
Vidya Balan: This actress who has proved her acting caliber over and over again with each film got married to UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor in 2012. She stuck to her usual designer Sabysachi for her wedding saree, which was a traditional bright red saree along with gold jewellery.
Shilpa Shetty: Shilpa Shetty tied the knot with Raj Kundra in a Punjabi + South Indian wedding. She wore a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga and her jewels were from Anmol jewellers, all diamonds and gold.
Lara Dutta: She married tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi in a church wedding. While the groom wore the usual tuxedo, Lara Dutta looked resplendent in a Elie Saab wedding gown.
Kareena Kapoor: Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan kept everyone guessing of when they would actually get married. Even when the D-date was announced, it looked like a tentative date only. Kareena Kapoor majorly wore Manish Malhotra outfits including a very simple suit with a red bridal dupatta for her registration.
Kajol: This marriage happened a long time ago, but since she is still a much sought after actress, it is befitting to include her in this list. Kajol wed Ajay Devgn in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony complete with a dark green nine-yard saree. I think she looked simple yet beautiful.
Aishwarya Rai: I always round up these type of articles with Aishwarya Rai – not making any change this time. Aishwarya Rai’s marriage to Abhishek Bachchan was a much-celebrated event. There was a lot of frenzy surrounding the marriage. The marriage was a mix of North and South Indian Bunt traditions. Ash looked like a million bucks on her marriage, the diamonds shining through the pics.
